I know it looks kind of lackluster, but my 5 year old LOVES this puzzle. The first time he pulled it out, he spent over 30 minutes on the basic puzzle. The instruciton book demonstrates ways to set the puzzle up to make it more challenging. My 5yo continues to enjoy spending 15-30 minutes blocks of times putting these shapes together. It is enjoyable for me to watch him figure out how the pieces fit together. On the downside, we have to make sure we pack the puzzle up back in the box with all the pieces so none of the pieces get lost. I highly recommend this puzzle!

We bought that toy for our son when he was 20 months. Of course he did not completed the puzzle but understood quite well the overall objective and within a few weeks was able to complete it once every 5 or 6 trial. It is amazing to see how children week after week are developping their own strategies to try to solve the puzzle. Our son adopted to or three blocs that he seemed to knew well the geometry and how they fit if he turns them around and work mostly with those three at first to solve the puzzle. The puzzle is extremly well engineered as the chosen pattern for the various bloc makes it easy to complete the puzzle since many many combination will work. It is rewarding for the children. To us, this is one of our best purchase we highly reccomend that toy.
