This is the first Wiggles video our family had seen, and we love it. My 17 month old daughter asks for it all day by doing the "Di dicky do dum" dance. I find it interesting that other reviewers complained about the lack of quality compared to more recent releases. We just bought the "Wiggly Wiggly World" recent release and were terribly dissapointed--teenage dancers instead of kids, moves my kids can't follow, horrible short short haircuts on the guys, and music and sets that are too complex and overpowering for toddlers. We'll be watching the "Dance Party" video for years.

I'm suprised by what other reviewers have said. This was the first Wiggles tape we bought and I'll tell you - my kids didn't care about funny haircuts or lackluster sets. They love this video for what it truly is - a wonderful upbeat collection of fun songs that inspires them to jump, dance and wiggle along. I love the music myself. Best of all, this video contains tons of little children dancing along with The Wiggles. We're impressed - and we just bought Toot, Toot and Wiggle Time to expand our collection. If they make my kids half as happy as this video, I'll be pleased.

This is absolutely the best kid's video out there. Sorry, but my 17 month old doesn't care about "production values" and neither do I! This video is an absolute blast. All the songs are great and the cheesey sets make it all the more fun.Sure, the newer videos may "look" better, but none of them can beat the fun and music of Dance Party!

I read through the reviews because i always like to see what people have to say about my favorite movies. i decided to see what other americans thought of this favorite aussie import. unfortunately many parents think that this is low quality work on the wiggles part. i disagree wholeheartedly! they are not slacking in the least, they are giving us 100%, which is what you insinuate when you say that this is low quality. this video may be low budget and yes, you have to turn the volume way up to hear it really well, but the songs are awesome! i dont mind all of the sets being a little kitschy (spelling?) or the magical regrowing haircuts or even the fact that captain feathersword is 3 different people. this was the first wiggles tape we bought and a favorite. why? because anthony makes the silliest faces while playing those tiny drums in "the flap"... because they are a bit more believable than some stupid purple dinosaur hanging out with a bunch of hyperactive kids... because their songs are catchy and universal... because there is not one bad song... and because they are refreshingly different. i saw these guys live last year and i cant wait till they come again. i dont know what im going to do when my daughter grows out of these tapes. i know that at first, watching it seems like youre seeing a car accident; you cant turn away but you dont want to see it, either. but by the second time if you dont find yourself humming "wags the dog", thats your misfortune. and one last thing... i dont think the wiggles were being dishonest when making this tape. it may have older things on it, but it WAS put together in 2001. usually an artist has a contract of how many things they have to put out in a year and they are a TOURING PARTY, touring all of the time, constantly... they may have had no time to make something new, let alone have a say in it. bottom line i love the wiggles...

We're BIG fans of the Wiggles. My 2-1/2-year-old twins love to jump and dance around while watching their Wiggles videos/DVDs, and this one is no exception. Yes, it contains "classic" Wiggles songs and skits, and was probably recorded early in their careers. The backgrounds aren't as spiffy as the ones in their later videos/DVDs, and there aren't any fancy computer graphics. It's still a lot of fun, though! (I almost didn't buy this one because of the bad reviews I'd read. I'm SO glad I took the chance and bought it anyway.)
