This is a great set. You can build anything you want. However the price is too high compared to the original price from Lego. You can buy from Lego website or somewhere else w/ just $49.99.

I view this as a complete set by itself for beginners to design and build Lego toys and landscapes. It comes with a larger base plate than most other similar brick sets, two minifigs of a man and a woman, and adequate assessories to build (2D) buildings and vehicles; although there will not be enough bricks to build real-play 3D buildings. You will need to complement this set with other Lego brick only sets e.g. Lego 5584. It complements themematic Lego sets well e.g. Lego Castle or Creator series. I sort the bricks into similar shapes in small plastic fishing tackle boxes which can then be stored in the accompanying Lego plastic box. I mixed all my Lego sets, sorting the bricks into simalar shapes for ease of use. Its a good buy and I would recommend it to anyone considering similar Lego brick box products.

This is a great product, but too expensive on this site. You can purchase this exact set on the Lego website for $44.99. Has everything you need in the set.

My kid loves legos and it is so much better than watching television. I only wish they made a bigger size bucket.

My son is thoroughly enjoying this product. He builds helicopters, windmills, houses, and trucks to place along his train tracks. Initially, he had difficulty with blocks (he turned 5 right after he got them), but he tells me he doesn't need my help now. His fine motor skills have improved with this product, and it provides great mommy & me time (with little sister's help)
