This toy is so fun! It has four distinct sides that you can keep turning to reveal. One is blue with darker blue dots, one is pink with red butterflies who have crinkle wings, one is blue with a yellow sun on it, and the last is green with an embroidered pink flower. I think this is a toy appropriate for both genders. My son loves this toy although at four months old he needs a little help turning it.
I bought this toy after purchasing several other Haba toys and being very impressed with the quality. I learned after purchasing it, however, that Haba has this toy made in China. Most of their other toys are made in Germany (maybe just the wood ones??). I have nothing against China as a country, but am a little wary of their QC after hearing reports that some products companies had made there were not made to specification and instead made of lower quality and sometimes even harmful substances.
Since there is no metal or paint on this toy, I'm not worried about the inclusion of harmful substances. I would feel a little better, however, if this toy were NOT made in the PRC.
